Overview

The United Nations Development Programme, acting through the Global Environment Facility Small Grants Programme, has launched its Third Call for Proposals for Monitoring and Evaluation Support to Projects in Territories and Areas Conserved by Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities in Ghana. This opportunity falls under the second phase of the Global Support Initiative for Territories and Areas Conserved by Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities. The initiative aims to engage capable local organizations to act as catalytic entities, providing monitoring, evaluation, learning, documentation, and reporting support for the Small Grants Programme and its related activities.

Who can apply

Eligible applicants include Non-Governmental Organizations, Civil Society Organizations, Community-Based Organizations, community groups, and other recognized local organizations operating in Ghana. The programme is especially relevant for entities working in environmental conservation, biodiversity protection, sustainable agriculture, fisheries, food security, climate action, community development, and environmental governance.

What you get

Selected organizations receive financial support of up to US$50,000. This funding is designed to strengthen the institutional and technical capacity needed to monitor conservation interventions, assess project outcomes, and ensure that community-led environmental initiatives deliver measurable and sustainable results.
