Overview

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is hiring an Administrative and Logistics Assistant in the Philippines. The post is full-time at NPSA-5 level under a National Personnel Service Agreement, for one year with possible extension. It sits in the Conflict Prevention, Peacebuilding and Responsive Institutions practice area, job ID 36591, and supports the Peace and Stabilization Programme and the UPLIFT DC project.

UPLIFT DC (Unifying Pathways, Linkages and Inclusive Facilitation of Transformative Services for Decommissioned Combatants) was developed with the World Bank to support government efforts to help former combatants transition into communities in the Bangsamoro region. It builds an information, advisory and referral system, strengthens case management and capacity for social workers, and delivers socio-economic services to selected decommissioned combatants.

What you will do

Working under the Project Manager, the assistant handles travel processing, cash advance liquidation, supplier payments, price quotations, utility payments and office records such as correspondence, calendars, transport requests, leave monitoring and supply requests. Procurement duties follow UNDP rules and include procurement plans and requests, Long-Term Agreements, supplier coordination, file upkeep and asset inventories. The assistant also supports meetings, workshops and trainings, including venues, accommodation, catering, transport and cash disbursements, and helps document lessons learned.

Requirements

Applicants need secondary education with five years of relevant experience in administrative work and procurement, or a bachelor's degree with two years. A degree in business administration, accounting or finance is an advantage, and CIPS Level 2 is highly desirable. Skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook are needed. UN experience and donor-funded project knowledge are advantages.

Excellent English and fluency in Filipino are required. Knowledge of Mindanao dialects is an asset.
