Tyler Prize Student Ambassador 2027
Overview
The Tyler Prize Student Ambassador 2027 program is seeking students from around the world to serve as ambassadors for the Tyler Prize for Environmental Achievement. Participants promote laureates' achievements in their communities and on social media, share perspectives through blog posts, photos, and videos, and take part in live events, Q&A sessions, and exclusive conversations with environmental leaders.
Who can apply
Applicants must be university students at either the undergraduate or postgraduate level, studying full-time or part-time at universities anywhere in the world. Candidates are required to be proficient in English, while knowledge of additional languages is considered a plus. Participants should also possess a deep interest in themes relevant to the Tyler Prize for Environmental Achievement, such as climate, oceans, economics, policy and institutions, pollution, food and agriculture, water, health, and equality. Approximately half of the cohort will consist of students from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California, with the remaining spots available to international applicants.
What you get
Ambassadors engage directly with past laureates, the 2027 laureate, and other environmental leaders, and gain exclusive access to sessions and events with the Tyler Prize Executive Committee and laureates that are not open to the general public. Participants receive professional skills training to improve storytelling, social media impact, event delivery, peer presentation, and networking. The program offers opportunities to join a global community of peers, represent the Tyler Prize locally and online, and receive recognition through features on the Tyler Prize website and social media. Successful graduates are invited to join the Student Ambassador Alumni Association for ongoing connections with professionals, scientists, and communicators.
