The Social Science Research Council (SSRC) offers fellowships aimed at enhancing social science research in Africa, specifically for PhD candidates focusing on peacebuilding, security, and development in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, and Uganda. These fellowships support PhD students developing their dissertation proposals and those who have recently completed a master’s degree. Recipients can receive up to US$3,000 for short-term research costs.
