Overview
The Terra.do Climate Fellowship, titled Climate Change: Learning for Action, is a 12-week online programme for people who want to understand climate change, explore solutions and find where their skills can contribute to climate action. Participants include climate professionals, researchers, entrepreneurs, advocates, educators, sustainability specialists and technologists. Terra.do reports more than 7,000 graduates in over 96 countries, an average course rating of 9.3 and a career transition rate above 60 percent.
What you get
The fellowship is fully online and takes about 6 to 10 hours a week. It includes 10 to 12 expert lectures, weekly deep dives and discussion groups, hands-on projects, personalised feedback, tailored career support and a digital certificate on graduation. It draws on more than 100 learning modules across 20 classes, and the curriculum is refreshed regularly with new case studies and tools. Subjects include climate science and impacts, energy, food and agriculture, carbon removal, politics, economics, communications, finance, risk, corporate sustainability, adaptation and alternative development models. The syllabus starts with the greenhouse effect and a simple climate model in week 1, then moves to the carbon cycle and emissions accounting, climate impacts and the 1.5 degree target, and later climate solutions and communication.
