Overview

Save the Children is recruiting a Business Analyst for its Marketing and Fundraising department in The Hague, Netherlands. The post is full-time at 36 hours per week, initially on a one-year contract with the possibility of extension. The analyst uses data, forecasting and emerging technologies to improve marketing effectiveness and help the organisation get the most social impact from every euro invested, working with Marketing, Finance, IT and international colleagues.

What you will do

Responsibilities include building data-based presentations and recommendations for senior management and director level, advising on marketing budgets using return on investment, brand growth and social impact, and contributing to cost structures, forecasts and KPI reporting. The analyst also guides data analysis projects, supports Power BI market reporting and scenario-planning tools for the international network, explores AI models for performance forecasting and budget optimisation, and translates complex findings into practical choices for different stakeholders.

Requirements

Applicants should have academic-level working and thinking ability, preferably a Master's degree in economics, marketing, data science or a related field, and at least five years of relevant experience, preferably in fundraising, marketing or consultancy. Excellent Dutch and English and the legal right to work in the Netherlands are required. Strong strategic and analytical skills, clear communication with technical and non-technical audiences, and experience or interest in forecasting models and AI-based analysis are valued.

What you get

Salary follows Dutch government scales for a 36-hour week, scale 10, from 3,496.31 to 5,535.40 euros per month. Other conditions include full reimbursement of public transport commuting costs through an NS Business Card, five weeks of annual holiday with the option to save extra leave, partial working from home, a pension through Pensioenfonds Zorg and Welzijn, and development opportunities.
