This fixed-term position is part of the Oxford Machine Learning in Neuroimaging lab, supported by the European Research Council through the WOMB2COT Starting Grant. The appointee will develop multi-view data fusion and 3D reconstruction methods for neonatal cranial ultrasound and validate these techniques using data gathered in the neonatal intensive care unit.

The role involves participating in research related to medical image analysis, neural rendering, and 3D computer vision. Responsibilities include creating physics-informed rendering models that incorporate view-dependent acoustic appearance and collaborating with clinical colleagues who acquire multi-fontanelle data. The successful candidate will report to Professor Ana Namburete and collaborate with a multidisciplinary group comprising research software engineers, deep learning researchers, and neonatologists, alongside Dr Frances O’Brien from the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
