The position is full-time at 35 hours per week, 1 FTE, and fixed-term until 31 May 2028, with an anticipated start date of 01 November 2026. The role is based on site in London and is funded by the NIHR as part of the CoSine project, which evaluates health outcomes linked to energy-efficiency upgrades for low-income households in London using linked housing and healthcare data.

Responsibilities include analysing large-scale administrative datasets, addressing climate resilience and energy poverty research questions, and establishing best practices for a new platform. The person in this role will author a technical handbook, organise a user feedback event, write research reports, conduct evidence synthesis, handle knowledge mobilization, and perform teaching and administrative duties.

Who can apply

Applicants should hold a relevant first degree and ideally a Master's degree in epidemiology or a related quantitative field with a strong grounding in statistics or data science. Candidates are required to have relevant experience in policy impact evaluation and public health, alongside analytical skills in statistical programming languages such as Stata or R. Good organisational skills, including effective time management, are also essential.

What you get

The position offers a salary on the LSHTM salary scale, Grade 5, ranging from £40,784 to £46,643 per annum inclusive of London Weighting. Employment is subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. The annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata, alongside discretionary wellbeing days, and membership in the pension scheme is available.

Requirements

Applicants must submit a supporting statement detailing how their qualifications, experience, and training meet each selection criterion through one or more paragraphs per criterion. Applications that omit this information or direct reviewers to an attached CV will not be considered.
