Candidates must hold a relevant PhD or have one required by the start date. Applicants near completion of their PhD are considered for appointment in a junior research training zone before transitioning upon completion.
Requirements
Applicants need experience in biomolecular molecular dynamics, protein structural modelling, scientific programming, Linux-based high-performance computing, and membrane-protein biophysics. Individuals must be capable of diagnosing computational problems, critically assessing evidence, and explaining their contributions to previous research. Experience with AlphaFold-based prediction or ion-channel simulation is advantageous.
What you get
The salary ranges from 39,187 to 52,790 British Pounds per annum. Candidates close to PhD completion are initially appointed at Grade 4, earning 39,187 to 39,802 British Pounds, with increases following completion.
