The work environment emphasizes short communication lines, personal contact, and safety, quality, and efficiency.

Who can apply

Candidates must already live in the Netherlands and have the legal authorization to work in the country, as relocation support and visa sponsorships are not provided. Applicants need a relevant MBO level 3 education in areas such as vehicles and mobile machinery, agricultural mechanization, earthmoving, or electrical and mechanical engineering, alongside five years of relevant experience. A VCA certificate is required, while an NEN 9140 VOP and an F-gas certificate are considered advantageous. Candidates must possess problem-solving abilities, flexibility, and the capacity to work independently. Language requirements include Dutch at a native or C1 and C2 level, and English at a B1 and B2 level. Additionally, applicants must pass a comprehensive security screening for a certificate of good conduct.

What you get

The position offers a stable job in a technical environment with long-term prospects, an attractive and competitive salary package, and a pension through the Metal Processing Industry Collective Labor Agreement. Additional benefits include twenty-six vacation days, eight percent holiday allowance, training opportunities, and supplementary certifications. Employees also receive free access to Nilo Health for mental well-being support, daily fresh fruit at work, company outings, and participation in an employee referral program.

Requirements

The primary responsibilities involve diagnosing and resolving electrical, hydraulic, and motor malfunctions in motorized ground support equipment such as push-back trucks, loaders, and air starters. Tasks are performed in the company workshop or airside at the airport, under the supervision of the workshop supervisor. Duties include determining technical solutions, performing maintenance and refurbishment projects, assembling and disassembling parts, and inspecting equipment for safety and durability. Experienced mechanics will also support younger colleagues as a mentor and eventually participate in twenty-four seven on-call duty rotations.
