Overview
The Meliore Foundation (FUP) is recruiting a Strategy and Communications Manager, Polling and Audience Insight, a fully remote role to lead audience research, polling and insight-sharing across its international network. Meliore is an international philanthropic foundation that supports progressive communications and campaigning on climate, energy, technology and gender, through operational support and regranted funding, with a vision of science-based climate evidence shaping public debate.
The manager joins the Audience Insight Hub, a five-person team providing audience research to programmes across the organisation, and reports to the Audience Insight Director. The aim is to make the team's research more proactive, strategic and influential. Responsibilities include leading a proactive programme of audience research, especially polling, identifying topics of strategic interest to progressive campaigns, communicating findings, designing and delivering webinars, presentations and training, helping teams turn quantitative and qualitative research into actionable insight, supporting campaign and communications strategy, and building senior stakeholders' understanding of research.
Who can apply
Meliore wants an experienced audience research professional with a strong grasp of polling and experience in audience segmentation, message testing, survey design, quantitative and qualitative research and turning findings into recommendations. They should be able to explain complex findings clearly to non-specialists, and fluent English is required. Experience polling during election campaigns, developing communications or campaign strategy and additional languages are desirable. Candidates may come from polling or research agencies, private-sector insight teams, nonprofits, political parties or campaigning organisations, and must have the right to work in their location.
What you get
The full-time role is Remote or Flexible within about 5 hours of CET, with some international travel, and part-time requests such as four days a week will be considered. The initial contract is 12 months with possible renewal, offered as employment or a consultant contract depending on location.
