Junior Legal Counsel

Overview

Lendable is hiring a Junior Legal Counsel to join its Central department based in London. The position sits within a small and ambitious Legal team that collaborates with various company divisions, including Product, Engineering, Credit Risk, Marketing, and People. Operating as an FCA-regulated lender in the United Kingdom, the United States, and Mexico, the organization offers early exposure to regulated products and new markets. The role focuses primarily on commercial contracts, product matters, and corporate work as the business expands.

Requirements

Applicants must be newly qualified or have up to two years of post-qualification experience. Candidates need to be qualified in England and Wales, or in another common law jurisdiction with relevant UK experience. The role requires strong organizational skills to independently prioritize and manage multiple matters simultaneously, along with excellent communication and relationship-building abilities to explain legal issues clearly to non-lawyers. Candidates should also be comfortable with a fast-paced environment and eager to take ownership of a broad remit.
