JT Education Social Media Intern/Content Creator 2026: Paid Part-Time Opportunity in Melbourne
Overview
JT Education is hiring a part-time Social Media Intern and Content Creator in Melbourne, Victoria, to build its online presence among students preparing for selective-entry and scholarship examinations. The organization currently supports students preparing for JMSS Year 10 and 11 entry and EBS Year 11 and 12 entry, with possible expansion into pre-VCE education. The role is content first, centred on producing frequent short educational videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts, and building a presence on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
The intern takes ownership of a content project, keeps a consistent publishing schedule, may cut longer lessons or existing footage into short clips, and appears on camera or scripts and directs others who do. Hooks, captions, pacing, formats and presentation styles are tested and performance results guide future content.
Who can apply
The organization is especially interested in people with firsthand experience of selective-entry or scholarship exams, such as selective school graduates and scholarship recipients, though academic experience alone is not enough. The role may suit recent high school graduates, university students, aspiring content creators and digital marketing students.
Requirements
Applicants should be creative, organized, proactive, articulate and comfortable working independently, with strong written English and an understanding of what keeps viewers watching short-form content. Experience with CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Canva or similar tools is an advantage, as is experience growing a social media account.
What you get
Interns gain ownership of content projects, creative freedom, exposure to content performance data and a portfolio of published work. Pay is listed as 26 dollars per hour plus superannuation for about eight hours a week, or 208 dollars a week, under a one-month contract, and a range of 30 to 35 dollars per hour is also advertised. The position is hybrid in Melbourne, and the contract may be extended with added responsibility if the work goes well.
