International Rescue Committee is Seeking a Project Coordinator to Support AI-Powered Humanitarian Health Innovation – Apply by 30 September 2026
Overview
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is hiring a full-time, hybrid Project Coordinator for its Infectious Disease AI and Data Governance Portfolio. The portfolio develops artificial intelligence diagnostic tools for infectious diseases that have historically attracted limited technology investment, with a focus on vulnerable people in fragile and conflict-affected settings. The coordinator works with the Senior Specialist leading the portfolio, handling implementation, regulatory compliance, operational planning, data governance and stakeholder engagement so technical experts can concentrate on the science.
The portfolio covers three areas. In radiology it expands paediatric chest X-ray datasets and builds AI tools for tuberculosis, with collaborations in Haiti, Ghana and Nigeria. In dermatology it builds skin lesion datasets, improves AI performance on darker skin tones and develops tools for mpox. In microscopy it researches AI-assisted diagnosis of Chagas disease, malaria, filariasis and leishmaniasis.
