iDICE Skills Training to Jobs Programme 2026: 300,000 Free Training Opportunities for Nigerian Youth
Overview
The iDICE Skills Training to Jobs Programme is a nationwide initiative of the Federal Government of Nigeria, run through the Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprises (iDICE) Programme and implemented by the Bank of Industry (BOI). It aims to equip young Nigerians with market-relevant digital and creative skills and connect them to jobs. The programme covers all six geopolitical zones: North West, North East, North Central, South West, South East and South South.
What you get
The programme offers 300,000 free training places and has an 80% employment connection target, so job linkage is central to its design. Training is tied to the digital economy and the global outsourcing market. The business process outsourcing component prepares participants for work in remote service delivery, digital customer support, outsourcing operations and global freelancing. The broader iDICE programme also provides enterprise support, access to finance and ecosystem development, with digital and creative hubs meant to strengthen links between training institutions and employers.
Who can apply
The programme is for Nigerian nationals aged 15 to 35. It is relevant to young people who want to acquire digital or creative skills, find employment, prepare for remote or global digital work, enter the outsourcing sector or build a career in digital services and freelancing. Inclusion targets are in place: at least 40% female participation and 5% participation by persons with disabilities. The programme is not intended for applicants from other countries.
Requirements
Business process outsourcing involves organisations contracting specific business functions or services to specialised workers or providers. In a digital setting this can include customer support, remote service delivery, administrative support, digital operations, business process management and virtual assistance. No application steps or deadline are given.
