Overview
The London Community Foundation is hiring External Grant Assessors to evaluate applications for the third round of the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime £6 million Violence Against Women and Girls Grassroots Fund. This consultancy involves reviewing applications for grants up to £160,000 for projects spanning a three-year period. The position runs for up to six weeks starting on 23 November 2026, with some flexibility due to the holiday period, and requires attending up to half a day of training during the week commencing 16 November 2026. The work arrangement is entirely home-based and remote.
Who can apply
The role is suited for professionals and experienced grant assessors with specialist knowledge of violence against women and girls, the voluntary and community sector, intersectionality, and appropriate support interventions. Candidates must possess a strong understanding of the challenges faced by women and girls experiencing violence, along with an awareness of protected characteristics and wider inequalities. Applicants should have experience assessing or reviewing programmes, projects, funding applications, or similar evidence, supported by strong analytical and communication skills. The organisation particularly welcomes applications from Black, Asian, and minority ethnic women candidates, reflecting the fund's focus on organisations led by and for Black, Asian, and minority ethnic communities.
