Overview

The Climate Vulnerable Forum (CVF) and V20 Finance Ministers are recruiting for four senior posts at the CVF-V20 Secretariat, announced on 13 August 2026: Sovereign Investment Research & Design Director, Sovereign Investment Research & Design Lead Economist, Director of Communications and Grants Management Specialist. The jobs cover strategic communications, sovereign investment, economics, climate finance, grants management and international financial policy, all tied to strengthening climate resilience and access to finance for vulnerable economies.

The CVF was founded in 2009 as an independent intergovernmental organization for countries particularly vulnerable to climate change. According to the vacancy information it is headquartered in Accra, Ghana, and brings together leaders from 70 governments across Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Latin America and the Pacific, representing about 1.74 billion people. The V20 Finance Ministers group was set up in 2015, added a Central Bank Governors Working Group in 2023, and works alongside the Global Parliamentary Group founded in 2022. Together they pursue climate justice through Climate Prosperity Plans and efforts to mobilize investment toward the Sustainable Development Goals, biodiversity goals and the 1.5 degree limit under the Paris Agreement.

The Secretariat supports member-state meetings at heads-of-state and ministerial levels, represents CVF views in international forums, gives technical assistance and works on financial reform, climate finance, adaptation, loss and damage, debt sustainability, development finance access and capacity building.
