CUBE is a global RegTech company that builds regulatory intelligence solutions for financial services, using AI-based SaaS products to help financial institutions manage a complex and fast-changing regulatory environment. It operates in 19 countries with more than 700 employees across EMEA, the Americas and APAC.
The engineer works under senior engineers and gradually takes on more responsibility. Duties include building bug fixes, small features and testing improvements with Python, FastAPI and Django, writing pytest unit tests, applying coding standards, joining pair programming and code reviews, documenting event consumer code and data transformation pipelines, contributing to REST API and OpenAPI documentation, supporting Data Lake tasks, learning RabbitMQ consumer patterns and event-driven architecture, working with Azure and authentication systems, and taking part in architecture and design discussions.
Who can apply
Applicants need about 2 to 3 years of professional Python development experience, with a strong grasp of Python data structures and object-oriented programming, error handling and list comprehensions, and basic awareness of asynchronous programming. They need experience with a web framework such as Django, FastAPI or Flask, an understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes and JSON, Git skills including branches, pull requests and resolving merge conflicts, strong self-directed learning and clear technical English. Internships, contract work and strong academic projects can count toward the experience. Experience with message queues, ETL, Data Lakes, CSV and JSON processing, Docker, Azure or AZ-900 training, open-source contributions or a personal Python portfolio is an advantage.
What you get
The role has a structured development path. Early milestones are setting up the development environment, making first pull requests and learning the end-to-end data pipeline, followed by independently delivering fixes and minor API additions and contributing to system design discussions. Within six months engineers complete Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) and a Python testing or data engineering foundations course. CUBE states it is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity.
