Climate Equity Fund Hiring Marketing & Communications Manager for Remote Role Paying Up to $140,000
Overview
The Climate Equity Fund is recruiting a Marketing and Communications Manager for a remote position within the United States, with an annual salary of $125,000 to $140,000. The Fund is an independent 501(c)(3) public charity and strategic collaborative funder that advances equitable climate action and clean energy policy. Founded in 2016, it works with community-based organisations across 14 U.S. states to build grassroots leadership and political power, change public narratives on climate and advance racial, economic and environmental justice.
The manager shapes the organisation's public voice, turning complex issues of climate, racial equity and clean energy into clear content for varied audiences.
Requirements
Duties include maintaining messaging, style guides and brand voice, building communications calendars and editorial workflows, and writing and overseeing newsletters, website content, reports, presentations, talking points and social posts. The manager gathers stories and impact data from staff and grantees, runs the website, email and social channels, tracks analytics, supports executive thought leadership and coordinates designers, photographers, video producers and agencies, as well as events, webinars and convenings.
A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, English or a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience may be considered. Applicants need at least three years in nonprofit, philanthropic, climate justice, racial equity or advocacy settings and roughly five years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, storytelling or brand management, with strong writing and editing. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CRM, email marketing and data visualisation experience may help.
What you get
Benefits include health, dental and vision insurance, family coverage, a retirement plan with employer matching, generous vacation and sick leave. The role involves about 10 to 15% annual travel. Pay may vary with the local labour market, skills and experience.
How to apply
Applicants submit a resume and cover letter through the online portal, covering relevant experience, interest in the Fund and the role, and salary requirement. Candidates must already be authorised to work full-time in the United States, as no visa sponsorship, including H-1B, is offered. Recruitment is moving quickly, so early applications are encouraged.
