Claude Corps Fellowship 2027: $85,000 Paid AI Fellowship for Recent Graduates & Early-Career Professionals
Overview
The Claude Corps Fellowship 2027 is a one-year program created through a partnership between CodePath and Anthropic. The initiative places early-career fellows full-time inside nonprofits, government agencies, and public-interest organizations within the United States. Fellows work to apply AI solutions to real-world problems, train colleagues on these tools, and establish sustainable projects that continue operating after the fellowship concludes. This program forms part of the third cohort of Claude Corps.
Who can apply
Applicants must be early-career professionals aged 18 or older who are authorized to work in the United States, as visa sponsorship is unavailable. The program is designed for recent graduates of degree or trade programs seeking their first full-time role, individuals transitioning from military service to a civilian career, and workers in their first full-time job who want to enter mission-driven work. Candidates must fulfill three prerequisites: completion of AI Fluency and Claude 101 with proof submitted in the application, a demonstrated history of building something end-to-end such as an app, script, or workflow, and verified experience in community, nonprofit, or public-interest work.
What you get
Fellows receive a full-time salary of $85,000 alongside benefits for the duration of the one-year program. Participants are also provided with Claude API and tooling access, an onboarding bootcamp hosted by Anthropic prior to placement, dedicated support, regular cohort sessions, and direct access to Anthropic engineers through office hours. Relocation support is provided for fellows placed more than 100 miles away from their current residence.
Requirements
Fellows are embedded at a single host organization for one year to discover and scope needs, build working solutions utilizing Claude, enable the organization through training, and properly hand off projects for long-term use. Participants must exercise sound judgment and operate effectively within organizations that have stakeholders and difficult constraints. Applicants must be open to relocating within the United States to work in person at their host organization.
How to apply
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. The application process begins with a short application featuring written questions about the applicant's background, building experience, and community involvement, along with proof of completion for AI Fluency and Claude 101. Subsequent stages include a practical take-home assessment, a first-round interview, and a final-round interview. CodePath serves as the employer of record for the fellowship.
Key dates
The third cohort begins in August 2027. The application deadline for consideration is January 31, 2027.
