The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) is recruiting for multiple entry-level temporary term positions at its Sudbury Tax Centre in Sudbury, Ontario, at classification levels SP-01 to SP-04. Levels and duties
Salaries are SP-01 $46,904 to $51,779 and SP-02 $53,782 to $59,363, both English Essential, and SP-03 $59,623 to $65,813 and SP-04 $65,389 to $73,595, both Bilingual Imperative or English Essential. Bilingual profiles may be BBB/BBB, BBC/BBC or CBC/CBC. SP-01 and SP-02 work includes sorting, scanning and filing correspondence and checking forms for errors. SP-03 and SP-04 work includes reviewing completed forms, flagging corrective action, researching issues and dealing with clients, including difficult conversations.
Who can apply
SP-01 to SP-03 require two years of secondary school and SP-04 requires a secondary school diploma, with proof uploaded to the candidate profile. Foreign credentials need Canadian equivalency at the applicant's cost. Applicants must live within 125 kilometres of the Sudbury Tax Centre at 1050 Notre Dame Avenue. Preference goes to veterans, Canadian citizens and permanent residents. Only one application is allowed.
Requirements
The work is on-site, and many Sudbury jobs require five days a week on-site, with shifts between 7:00 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. Eastern Time and possible weekends and statutory holidays. Assessment may include a Second Language Evaluation, performance validation, a suitability assessment and the Taxation Centre Clerical Test, held in Sudbury. Successful candidates need Reliability Status, and some may need a police clearance if they lived abroad for six months or more in the previous five years.
