Environmental journalism continues to play a critical role in exposing ecological threats, environmental injustice, and attacks on press freedom across Africa. In response to growing concerns over the safety of environmental reporters, the Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID), in partnership with the UNESCO Global Media Defence Fund (GMDF), has announced a six-month Storytelling Fellowship for Environmental Journalists in West Africa.
