Building Evidence for Civic Freedoms: CIVICUS Opens Remote Civic Space Research Internship (2026)

The global state of civic space continues to shift under pressure from political instability, shrinking democratic freedoms, and increased restrictions on expression and assembly. In response to these challenges, CIVICUS has opened applications for a Civic Space Research Intern to support its flagship global monitoring work. The six-month remote internship offers a monthly stipend of USD 1,200 and focuses on strengthening data-driven documentation of civic space conditions worldwide.
