Overview

BRAC is inviting applications for a Trainer in its Education Programme in Bangladesh. The post is project staff, with the project continuing until June 2027, and is available in Bogura, Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna and Gazipur. The trainer supports the Future Ready Club and Medhabikash initiatives. The Medhabikash Scholarship Programme helps academically talented students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds pursue higher education, while the Cultural and Sports Olympiad and Future Ready Club activities help young people build creativity, confidence, leadership, teamwork and social responsibility.

What you will do

Duties include developing competency-based training curricula, facilitator guides and participant manuals, running Training of Trainers sessions, strengthening the facilitation skills of field teams, and delivering classroom, field and virtual training. The trainer also advises on Future Ready Club operations, inclusion, child safeguarding and youth activities, supports cultural and sports events, coaches and assesses facilitators, builds pre- and post-training assessments, analyses training effectiveness, prepares annual and quarterly plans and reports, keeps training databases, and carries out follow-up visits and refresher training.

Safeguarding is a significant part of the post. The trainer helps protect participants and others from harm, abuse, exploitation and harassment, follows BRAC's reporting procedures, and promotes safeguarding standards in the team.

Requirements

Applicants need a Master's degree in education, training and development, psychology, sports science, physical education, performing arts, development studies, social sciences or a related field, plus at least one year of relevant experience in areas such as training, facilitation, capacity building, youth development or community development. Experience with development organisations is an advantage. Useful skills include presentation, coaching, curriculum design, training needs assessment, report writing, data analysis, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, virtual learning platforms, and understanding of gender equality and disability inclusion.
