The Spaza Shop Support Fund (SSSF) is a government-backed initiative designed to strengthen township and rural economies by supporting locally owned community convenience shops, commonly known as spaza shops. The programme is supported by the Department of Small Business Development (DSBD) and the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic), with implementation support from key development finance institutions.
