2027 Graduate Analyst
Overview
Zopa, the UK digital bank that began as a peer-to-peer lender in 2005 and launched Zopa Bank in 2020, is recruiting graduate analysts for its 2027 intake in London. Analysts help shape the business rather than only analyse it, taking part in decisions on product design, customer experience, lending criteria and target markets, and are given real ownership from the start.
What you get
The first four months are a structured graduate training programme with four placements, each ending in a project on a real business problem. The placements cover an introduction to Zopa and technical skills including SQL and Python, applications of large language models to business problems, data science including gradient boosted and sequence-based models and a model-building competition, and product economics including forecasting future value. After training, graduates join one of the analytics teams: Credit Strategy, Product Analytics, Data Science or Risk Lab, where they investigate problems, test ideas, recommend improvements and communicate insights to stakeholders. AI tools are used widely and training in them is part of each placement.
Who can apply
Zopa looks for people who are comfortable with mathematics at A-level complexity, analytical, naturally curious, interested in tools such as Python and SQL and in how AI is changing work, ambitious, willing to take initiative and responsibility, and collaborative.
How to apply
Applicants complete online assessments of up to about 45 minutes in total within one week of applying.
Key dates
Applications opened on 1 September and close at 9am UK time on Sunday 25 October.
