Overview

Subaru of America Inc. runs a Summer Internship Program for 2027 that places students on meaningful projects alongside experienced professionals, in areas tied to their academic majors. The program is based at Subaru Headquarters in Camden, New Jersey, with internships also available at other locations across the United States. It runs from May through August, and interns work 37.5 hours per week.

The experience is meant to build professional skills, give practical exposure and improve students' marketability in their chosen fields.

Who can apply

Eligible students are juniors or seniors planning to pursue a Master's degree, or students currently enrolled in a Master's program. Applicants must remain active students for the whole internship. Some positions involve driving company vehicles, in which case a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record are needed.

Majors listed include accounting, advertising, automotive technology management, business analytics, business management or administration, communications, computer science, corporate social responsibility, cyber security, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, film production, finance, human resources, information technology, international business, management information systems, marketing, multimedia journalism, public relations, project management, risk management, sales and supply chain management.

What you get

Undergraduate interns are paid $20 per hour. Over a 37.5-hour week that comes to about $750 before taxes, or about $3,000 per four-week period.

Requirements

Applicants should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work with people at different levels of the organization, and have strong Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel. They should also be able to work independently and contribute in a team.

How to apply

Students should review the official internship posting and confirm the requirements for the specific position, paying attention to academic status, availability across the May to August period, location and whether the role involves driving a company vehicle.
