Standard Bank Namibia Graduate Trainee Programme 2027 Launch Your Banking Career with a Leading African Bank
Overview
Standard Bank Namibia, part of the Standard Bank Group, is accepting applications for its Graduate Trainee Programme 2027. The programme is a structured development scheme for recent graduates, built around rotations through different banking functions. Participants gain practical knowledge of banking operations, work on real business projects and receive mentoring, coaching and leadership development, with exposure to innovation and digital banking initiatives.
Who can apply
The programme invites graduates in accounting, finance and economics; engineering, including industrial, mechanical, electrical and civil; financial mathematics and actuarial science; and technology and data fields such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, software engineering, data engineering and cyber security. Recent graduates and final-year students who will graduate before the programme begins are suited to it.
Applicants must be Namibian citizens holding a tertiary qualification at NQF Level 7 or above in one of the specified fields, with a minimum average pass rate of 75% and 0 to 1 year of professional work experience. Registration with a relevant professional body is an added advantage.
Preference goes to Namibian citizens from previously disadvantaged groups in line with the Affirmative Action (Employment) Act 29 of 1998, and applications from persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged.
How to apply
Applicants complete an online application and upload an updated CV, certified academic transcripts, a degree certificate or proof of qualification, a copy of the Namibian National Identity Document, a professional registration certificate where applicable, and any other documents requested. Selection may include application screening, academic qualification review, online assessments, interviews and a final offer. Only shortlisted candidates are contacted.

The application deadline is 31 August 2026.
