Overview
The National Basketball Association Summer Internship is a 10-week paid programme running from early June to mid-August in the United States. It provides eligible students with professional experience within the business of basketball and the operations of a major international sports organisation. Participants work on projects across different departments in the league office, take part in onboarding and orientation, and engage in professional development activities. The experience also includes interaction with NBA leaders and opportunities to participate in community and social events such as NBA Draft activities, WNBA games, and NBA Cares initiatives.
Who can apply
The programme is designed for undergraduate and graduate students who are passionate about basketball, interested in professional development, and eager to contribute to the organisation. Applicants are expected to demonstrate strong academic performance, effective written and verbal communication skills, and evidence of leadership through extracurricular or community activities.
