Overview

The Green Climate Fund (GCF) is offering a six-month, full-time IT internship in its Department of IT in the Songdo Business District of Incheon, Republic of Korea (job identification 3340). The GCF is the world's largest dedicated multilateral climate fund, established in 2010 by the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change to help developing countries tackle climate change while promoting sustainable development. The internship is expected to start in October or November 2026 and pays US$1,600 per month.

What you will do

The intern supports the Technology Business Partner Team. Tasks include analyzing business needs, spotting technology opportunities, contributing to solution design discussions and helping business and technology stakeholders work together. The intern may also assist with IT project and portfolio delivery, including planning, monitoring progress, assessing risks and dependencies and supporting digital, data, application and infrastructure initiatives. AI and digital productivity tools are used for research, requirements analysis, content generation, reporting, knowledge management, workflow automation, data extraction and dashboards.

Who can apply

Applicants should be enrolled in or recently graduated from a Master's programme in business administration, project management, information systems, computer science, software engineering or a related field. They should be interested in project coordination, technology business partnering and digital transformation, and able to support meetings, track actions, prepare documentation, report and follow up with stakeholders. Strong verbal, written and presentation skills and comfort with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools are needed. Knowledge of AI-enabled productivity, generative AI, data analysis, automation, prompt engineering and responsible AI use is relevant. Fluent English is essential, and other UN languages are an advantage.
