Cone Health Executive Office Intern – Paid/Temporary Internship in Greensboro, North Carolina

Overview

Cone Health is offering a temporary, hybrid Executive Office Intern position through the Annie Penn Hospital Executive Office, based in Greensboro, North Carolina. The internship starts with orientation on 25 January 2027 and is limited to a maximum of 250 working hours. The intern works closely with the Senior Executive Assistant and the Executive Leadership Team and gets behind-the-scenes exposure to hospital operations.

The intern attends selected leadership, project and community meetings and helps with minutes, follow-up and action items. They support special projects through research, presentations and reports, and help plan and coordinate hospital events, employee engagement activities, leadership meetings and community events. Marketing and communications tasks may include flyers, presentations, announcements, social media content and promotional materials.

A distinctive part of the role is exposure to rural healthcare strategy and community engagement, including efforts to understand community needs and improve access to care. The intern works with hospital departments, executive leaders and community partners, and is expected to keep sensitive information confidential and behave professionally. The experience suits students interested in healthcare administration, business, marketing, communications, project management, event planning or rural health.

Who can apply
