Overview

The Cloud Platform Summer Intern 2027 position provides a 12-week summer internship based in Bristol, United Kingdom. Participants gain hands-on experience working on real projects and supporting cloud platforms for AI systems. Interns collaborate with experienced engineers through sprint activities, technical reviews, project demonstrations, and practical investigations.

What you get

The internship provides a monthly salary of £2500 over the 12-week duration. Participants receive 5 days of annual leave and have access to flexible working arrangements. Office benefits include collaboration spaces, free food, ice cream, and an on-site barista, alongside learning and development resources through the O’Reilly online platform. Successful interns may have the opportunity to join a graduate programme after graduation, depending on performance and available roles.

Requirements

Applicants must currently be studying toward a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Electronic Engineering, or a related subject. Candidates need basic Linux and command-line experience, along with some scripting or programming experience in languages such as Python or Bash. A methodical approach to technical issues, clear communication, curiosity, and an interest in cloud infrastructure or computer systems are required. Previous industry experience is not necessary, but applicants must already possess the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the programme without requiring visa sponsorship.

How to apply

Applicants must submit a CV, a cover letter, and answers to the application questions. Successful candidates will be invited to complete a technical assessment, followed by an in-person assessment at the final stage for those who progress.
