CaCTuS Summer Internship 2027 in Germany (Fully Funded)

Overview

The CaCTuS Summer Internship 2027 provides hands-on research experience at leading Max Planck Institutes in Germany. Hosted by the Max Planck Institutes for Biological Cybernetics and Intelligent Systems, alongside the Tübingen AI Center, the program spans three months from July 1 to September 30, 2027. Selected participants work on research projects under the supervision of experienced scientists in Tübingen or Stuttgart, Germany.

Who can apply

Applicants from around the world are welcome to apply. Bachelor students who have not completed their degree must have finished at least four semesters, or two years of study, before the internship begins. Graduates who have completed a bachelor or master degree may also apply as long as they have not started a PhD by the time the internship takes place. Candidates are expected to have a strong academic record, a background relevant to their selected project, a good command of English, and availability for the full 90-day period.

What you get

Selected interns receive a monthly salary of approximately €1,350 to cover living expenses, along with arranged accommodation, health insurance coverage, and compensation for eligible travel costs to and from Germany.

Requirements

Applicants must submit a curriculum vitae of a maximum of two pages, a motivational statement detailing their interest in scientific research and relevant experience, academic transcripts from all university studies completed so far, and any available degree certificates. An optional reference letter may also be considered during the selection process.
