Bipartisan Policy Center Paid Internships 2027: Gain Hands-On Experience in Public Policy, Government Relations and Research in Washington, DC

The Bipartisan Policy Center offers paid internships throughout the year for university students and recent graduates seeking practical experience in Washington, DC. Participants work directly with policy and functional teams at a think tank dedicated to developing bipartisan solutions for challenges facing the United States. The program supports professional development by tailoring assignments around individual career goals and interests.
Who can apply
University students and recent graduates with an interest in public policy, government relations, economics, health, housing, energy, human capital, communications, governance, and legislative affairs are eligible for the program.
What you get
Interns gain hands-on experience in public policy research, legislative analysis, political communications, and think-tank operations. Fall and spring internships are part-time and provide a $3,000 stipend. Summer internships are full-time and provide a $6,000 stipend.
Requirements
Participants complete their work based out of the Washington, DC office, with a schedule allowing staff to work in the office from Tuesday through Thursday and remotely on Monday and Friday. Fall and spring schedules are arranged with an intern manager to accommodate ongoing academic studies.
