Overview

The Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) offers paid internships year-round, giving interns hands-on experience in policy research, events and the policymaking process in Washington, DC. Interns work with BPC's various teams and see in real time how people from both sides of the political spectrum work together to combine the best ideas of both parties into lasting policies.

Inclusivity is described as a core value and strategic strength. BPC invites anyone who wants to champion bipartisanship, regardless of politics, demographics, identity or circumstances, and extends that welcome to its internship programme. This listing covers the Spring 2027 internship.

What you get

Fall and spring internships are part-time and paid, with a stipend of $3,000. Hours are flexible and are agreed with the intern manager at the start of the semester, so students can gain experience while keeping up with their class schedule.

Applicants must be rising juniors or above who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate programme, or recent graduates. Non-U.S. citizens may apply but must hold a valid work permit or visa that confirms eligibility to work in the United States. The organisation does not offer visa sponsorship.
