Overview

Beyond Bricks Mandurah is hiring a casual Junior Retail Assistant and Administration Assistant at its Greenfields, Western Australia, branch. The entry-level role mixes customer-facing retail work with office administration and suits someone organised, approachable and willing to learn in a busy team. An immediate start is available.

The assistant greets customers and answers enquiries in person, by phone and by email, builds knowledge of Beyond Bricks products, and communicates professionally with customers, clients and suppliers. Other duties include learning the point-of-sale system, documentation, filing and general administration, following workplace health and safety procedures, and safely lifting, moving and stacking bricks and other heavy goods.

Requirements

Applicants should be friendly, professional, reliable and punctual, with good written and verbal communication, attention to detail and confidence with customers. Skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel are needed, along with the ability to learn new software quickly and a strong commitment to workplace safety. They must be physically able to lift and stack heavy goods. A current forklift certificate is required, and applicants must be willing and able to obtain the required certification. A current driver's licence is also required, as the successful candidate may need to travel to other branches, including Bunbury, to cover shifts.

Key dates

Working hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, and applicants must be available within these trading hours.
