Overview

trivago, the hotel price comparison company, is offering a B2B Digital Marketing internship in Düsseldorf within its Independent Hotels team. The team works on scaling direct connections with independent hotels around the world through trivago Business Studio. The intern builds practical digital marketing skills while learning how the business side of hotel metasearch works, using the tools, workflows and data behind email campaigns, including an AI-assisted build workflow.

What you will do

Tasks include supporting the planning, building and delivery of digital marketing campaigns and email communications for independent hotels, building and adapting responsive HTML and CSS email templates from a design-system component library, and maintaining a multi-language library of templates and creative assets. The intern also works with campaign data and reporting to follow performance metrics and spot improvements, supports quality assurance by testing campaigns across devices, checking translations and validating tracking links, and helps refine AI-assisted marketing workflows.

Who can apply

Applicants should be studying marketing, digital business, media informatics, computer science, information systems or a related field, and must hold a valid work permit for Germany. They should write HTML and CSS confidently, know enough JavaScript to debug, and communicate in English. A learning mindset, ambition and an open attitude toward AI tools are important. Experience with email marketing platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot or Mailchimp, previously built campaigns or templates, and something built with AI that others used are advantages.
