Overview

MongoDB is offering a summer software engineering internship based in Dublin, Ireland. This program places interns directly into software engineering teams within the Product and Technology organization, where they collaborate with full-time engineers and cross-functional teammates. Participants spend ten weeks during the summer pushing production-level code to contribute to products and services used by internal teams, external customers, and developer end users. The position runs for ten consecutive weeks starting in June 2027, requiring a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week.

Who can apply

Applicants must be currently working toward receiving a Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Candidates are required to have at least one quarter or semester remaining in their university studies after the internship concludes, with an expected graduation date in Spring 2028, Summer 2028, Fall 2028, Spring 2029, or Summer 2029. Additionally, applicants must be authorized to work in Ireland and provide relevant documents upon request, with company sponsorship potentially available for eligible candidates.

What you get

Interns receive personalized mentorship through an engineering mentor, an early talent recruitment program advisor, and an employee resource group guide. The program features tailored career coaching sessions, exclusive networking events such as executive speaker series, and participation in a vibrant community with social events and local city activities. Participants also gain access to mental and physical health benefits, paid time off, free lunch, relocation support including housing, and a potential pathway to receiving a full-time offer at the end of the summer.

Requirements

Candidates must possess a foundation in computer science theory with demonstrated proficiencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design. Applicants must also be fluent in at least one of the following programming languages or a comparable object-oriented programming language: Java, Python, Go, C++, Javascript, or Node.js. Employees in this role operate under a hybrid work model and are expected to work from the office location 3 to 5 days a week.
