UNESCO has opened its call for applications and nominations for the inaugural UNESCO Prize for Global Citizenship Education (GCED). Launched in 2024 with support from the Republic of Korea, this biennial award recognizes exceptional efforts to advance GCED and gives transformative educational initiatives worldwide a global platform for visibility, with the Prize to be awarded in two categories, including youth-led organisations.
