International Union for the Scientific Study of Population (IUSSP) Early Career Award 2027
Overview
The IUSSP Early Career Award was established by the IUSSP Council in 2023 to recognise outstanding contributions to the development of population studies by early career scholars in different world regions, and to boost the global visibility of their achievements. It is offered by the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population (IUSSP) in Africa, Asia and the Pacific, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, and North America. One award is given per region, in collaboration with the Union for African Population Studies, the Asian Population Association, the European Association for Population Studies, the Latin American Population Association and the Population Association of America. Awards are given every other year, and the next set will be announced in 2027.
What you get
Awardees present their current work and research interests in a 2027 Early Career Awards webinar. They also receive free registration for the next International Population Conference of the IUSSP, IPC 2029 in Barcelona, Spain, where they are presented at an Awards ceremony.
Who can apply
Candidates must be early career scholars in the population field with no more than 7 years of experience after their PhD at the time of nomination, meaning after 1 November 2019.
