The Girl Up Project Awards 2026 support girls and young activists seeking to advance gender justice and create positive change in their communities. The programme provides financial support, mentorship, and access to a global community for individuals and groups at different stages of their advocacy journeys.

Who can apply

The programme is open to individuals, youth-led groups, and eligible Girl Up Club+ participants. Applicants can apply under one of two funding tiers depending on their level of experience. The Leader of Self tier is intended for individual activists who are ready to take their first or next step. The Leader of Peers tier is designed for groups and Club+ participants who have already taken action and want to grow their impact. Applicants are permitted to write their answers in any language.

What you get

Successful applicants receive financial funding to help develop their projects. The Leader of Self tier provides up to US$500 in funding for individuals. The Leader of Peers tier offers up to US$1,000 for groups and Club+ participants. In addition to financial support, participants receive mentorship and connection to a global community.
