Concern Worldwide Global Citizenship Education Grants Scheme 2027 – Funding for Community and Youth Projects

Overview

The Concern Worldwide Global Citizenship Education Grants Scheme provides financial support for organisations implementing projects centred on global citizenship, sustainable human development, social inclusion, and international development awareness. Managed by Concern Worldwide, an international humanitarian and development organisation addressing poverty and inequality, the programme aims to build understanding of global challenges, encourage informed participation, and empower individuals and communities to drive positive social change through educational activities, community engagement, and advocacy.

Who can apply

The funding opportunity is open to organisations operating on the Island of Ireland that work with specific target groups and sectors. Eligible applicants include entities working with youth in non-formal education settings, adult and community education institutions, higher education and third-level institutions, and established global citizenship education organisations. Projects must demonstrate a clear connection to communities in Ireland or Northern Ireland and show how the planned activities will benefit the intended participants.

What you get

Successful organisations receive funding to implement initiatives that advance global citizenship education through learning, public awareness, and advocacy. The grants support a wide range of approaches, including workshops and educational programmes on global development, youth-led citizenship initiatives, community learning campaigns, activities addressing equality and social justice, international solidarity programmes, and higher education engagement efforts.

How to apply
