Concern Global Citizenship Education Grants Scheme: Funding Opportunities for Organisations Delivering Global Citizenship Education Projects in Ireland
Overview
The Concern Global Citizenship Education Grants Scheme provides grant support for organisations delivering projects that promote Global Citizenship Education across the Island of Ireland. The scheme supports initiatives that improve public understanding of global issues, encourage informed action, strengthen community participation, and promote values such as solidarity, equality, inclusion, and cooperation. It helps young people, adults, communities, and higher education institutions engage with global development priorities and understand how local actions connect with wider international challenges.
Who can apply
The scheme is open to organisations intending to deliver a Global Citizenship Education project. Eligible organisations may focus on four broad areas of work, including youth in the non-formal education sector, which involves organisations working with young people outside conventional formal education systems such as youth organisations, community groups, and civil society organisations. Participating organisations must work with communities on the Island of Ireland.
