Hosted by the Centre for Research on Democracy (CREDO) at Stellenbosch University, the African Democracy Essay Award is a yearly essay competition open to undergraduate students throughout South Africa. It seeks to advance the study of democracy among African students by encouraging essays on issues central to the African experience of democracy. Participating in the Award gives students:
