World Bank Group Government Analytics Fellowship 2027
Overview
The World Bank Group Government Analytics Fellowship 2027 aims to strengthen the capacity of government officials to use government data to improve administrative functioning and decision-making. Building on the Government Analytics Handbook, it gives participants the knowledge, tools and support to turn government data into actionable insights and to develop projects that address real institutional challenges.
There are three tracks. The online-only track is a self-paced virtual experience for officials balancing professional responsibilities. The immersive in-person track competitively selects a small cohort of officials with strategically relevant projects who can commit to an intensive six-month programme, with both individual and institutional support. A regional hub track offers more localised fellowships centred around regional hubs.
What you get
Fellows take part in an intensive fellowship focused on developing and implementing a Government Analytics project, learn from the experts behind the Handbook, and receive support from World Bank and University of Oxford experts. They join a global learning community of public servants, data experts, academics and practitioners, and a selected group receive dedicated mentoring from a World Bank expert. In-person fellows also join a two-week immersive experience in Washington, D.C., with hotel, travel and subsistence covered by the World Bank for applicants from ODA-eligible countries.
