WomenLeaders India Fellowship 2026–27: Fully Funded Leadership Fellowship for 50 Indian Women Leaders
Overview
The WomenLeaders India Fellowship is a 10-month leadership development programme established to empower 50 exceptional women leaders in India. Established in 2022 and powered by Reliance Foundation in partnership with Vital Voices Global Partnership, the initiative invests in women addressing major economic and social challenges. The programme focuses on practical leadership development rather than a conventional academic course, expecting participants to apply learnings directly to their social enterprises, nonprofits, and community-based initiatives. The curriculum centers on four priority areas: women’s empowerment and economic agency; children’s well-being and foundational learning; youth development, education and future skills; and agriculture, rural livelihoods and climate-resilient communities.
Who can apply
The fellowship is designed for eligible women social entrepreneurs and senior leaders in the social sector across India who have the authority to make important decisions. Applicants must be actively working to improve the lives of individuals and communities by addressing pressing economic and social challenges through fields such as social entrepreneurship, community development, education, healthcare, agriculture, rural livelihoods, and other impact-driven initiatives. Candidates should already have experience leading initiatives and be ready to strengthen their leadership capabilities, refine their organisational vision, expand their professional networks, and accelerate the impact of their work.
What you get
Selected fellows receive participation in a structured 10-month programme that provides leadership development workshops, mentoring, peer-to-peer learning, professional exposure, and support to strengthen projects that create measurable social impact. The fellowship is fully funded, meaning participants do not pay a programme fee.
