Overview
The United Nations University Institute for Water, Environment and Health presents the World Food Academy, a seminar programme focused on sustainable food systems, agricultural production, food science, nutrition, and global food value chains. The curriculum is divided into three distinct modules addressing different stages of the food system. The first module examines agriculture sciences and production, while the second and third modules cover food science, technology, nutrition, and food systems value chains and trade respectively.
Who can apply
The programme is open globally to students, researchers, academics, agricultural professionals, policymakers, development practitioners, and individuals working in food security, environmental sustainability, nutrition, and natural resource management. It is also suited for professionals who want to understand the connections between agricultural production, climate change, food technology, trade, and sustainable development.
