Supporting African Researchers: Funding Opportunities and Resources

AREF (the Africa Research Excellence Fund) works to advance the careers of African researchers through a range of funding opportunities, including its Research Development Fellowship (RDF) for 2024/25. The fellowship gives early-career African researchers the chance to build their skills through a three-to-nine-month placement at a leading research institution in the UK, Europe, or Africa, backed by up to £47,000 in support.
