SDG 6 Fellowship 2027 in UK, Denmark, Malaysia (Fully Funded)
Overview
The IWA & Grundfos Youth Action for SDG 6 Fellowship 2027 is an international program organized by the International Water Association and Grundfos. Running from February 2027 to December 2028, the fellowship supports young professionals working on innovative solutions to water-related challenges aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 6. The program combines online activities with in-person meetings and international water-sector events held in the United Kingdom, Denmark, and Malaysia.
Who can apply
Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old through December 2028 and hold an active International Water Association Young Water Professional membership or qualify as an eligible Grundfos employee. Candidates need experience in the water sector through work, research, education, or entrepreneurship, alongside a commitment to improving the field, leadership potential, teamwork skills, and a good working knowledge of English. Furthermore, applicants must have an existing innovation addressing a water challenge with demonstrated progress in development, testing, or validation, and must be willing to participate throughout the entire fellowship. Former participants of this fellowship, the International Water Association Leadership Programme, or the International Water Association Mentorship Programme are not eligible.
What you get
The fellowship covers all travel expenses required for in-person program activities. Financial provisions include economy-class airfare, single-occupancy accommodation, and breakfast, lunch, and dinner during relevant events. Additionally, the program covers ground transportation between airports, hotels, and venues, travel insurance for required travel, and visa application fees.
Requirements
Applicants must submit all application documents in English. The required documentation includes a curriculum vitae of up to two pages, a motivation letter of up to two pages, a reference letter of up to one page preferably from an International Water Association member, and an innovation proposal of up to two pages.
