Tick resistance to acaricides is a growing threat to both livestock productivity and public health across East Africa, notably in Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda, a problem made worse by climate change. To address this, the research project will assess knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) surrounding acaricide use, alongside investigating the phenotypic and genomic dimensions of resistance in tick populations.
